Trivia Game Sets - Pointless Knowledge, Competitive Spirit
We believe trivia should be fun, not feel like a homework assignment.
That's why every trivia set we make is filled with the most entertainingly useless knowledge we could find on a specific topic - and even better, the categories are deliberately misleading. "Who's the Boss?" isn't about management. It's about either Tony Danza or workplace dynamics. "Suicide Squad" isn't about superheroes. It's about Dr. Kevorkian.
You'll figure it out. Eventually.
Every Set Has a Theme (and a Personality)
Each trivia set focuses on a single topic, which makes them easy to match to the right person or group. All sets include 200 unique trivia question cards, instructions, and enough misleading category names to keep even confident players second-guessing themselves.
The current lineup covers:
- Useless general knowledge - the original "pointless knowledge" sets, covering everything from pop culture to science to history, all filtered through categories designed to confuse you
- Animals - obscure facts about the animal kingdom, filed under categories like "I Smell A Rat" (which are questions about animal odors)
- Celebrities - useless celebrity facts organized under misleading headings like "You've Got Mail" (questions about celebrities who still use AOL email)
- Food - junk food knowledge and general food trivia, with categories like "Hunger Games" (eating competitions, not the movie)
- Drinking - drinking-related knowledge for people who want their trivia with a side of alcohol awareness
- True crime - the creepy and disturbing corner of the trivia world, for groups who like their game nights a little darker
- Sports - quirky athletic facts and bizarre sports records
- Video games - gaming trivia for the subset of your friend group that never stopped playing
Built for 2+ Players, No Time Limit
Every set works with 2 or more players. There's no board, no timer, and no fixed number of rounds - you play as many or as few cards as you want. That makes them flexible enough for a quick 15-minute round or a full evening.
The format is the same across all sets: draw a card, pick a category (good luck figuring out what it actually means), answer the question, argue about whether someone's answer counts. The misleading categories add a layer of entertainment before the question is even asked, because watching someone try to figure out what "Grapes of Wrath" has to do with trivia is half the fun. (It's hangover questions, by the way.)
Each set includes instructions for competitive and casual play, so you can keep score or just play for laughs depending on the mood.
Trivia as Gifts and Group Pairings
The themed format makes these some of the easiest gifts to pick out. You don't need to know much about someone to match a trivia set to their interests - the animal lover gets the animal trivia, the sports fan gets the sports trivia, and the person with questionable taste gets the true crime set.
They also pair well with drinks and game nights. The Trivial Drinking Trivia set is the obvious bridge to our Barware collection. For more party games to stack alongside trivia, browse Party & Social Games. For items that travel well, see One for the Road! - nearly half of the trivia sets overlap with that collection.
The parent collection for all trivia sets lives in Fun & Games. For quieter alternatives, check Desk and Coloring Books.
