Numbers are boring (sorry, accountants). So this reinterpretation of Sudoku by Brass Monkey uses colored wooden balls instead. Includes 81 balls and a gamebook with hundreds of setups to solve with friends (or by yourself if you're into that). Bonus: everything stores away into the box (that is also the game board), so it's perfect for traveling.

  • Features 81 painted ball pieces that nest into the holes of the included game board.
  • Perfect for traveling (or playing during mild earthquakes).
  • Includes a gamebook with hundreds of puzzles to set up and solve...alone or with friends.
  • Everything (including the game board) packs away into the display-worthy box.
  • Box measures 7.8" square (by 2.8" deep if you're curious).

An ode to colorful balls full of fun!

I love this game: playing it and leaving it out just to walk by. Bought it at a small local bookshop and haven’t looked back! I show it to all our visitors, bought some as gifts and influenced others to do the same. It’s a different way of playing, and who doesn’t love looking at the 🌈!? I’ve also purchased other items because it’s all so fun, quirky, funny and supporting a small biz. :)

Play this daily!

This game was played nonstop during our family's week in a cabin by multiple players at a time. Now at home I play it daily. Love the varying difficulty levels so I can choose a game according to the time I have to play. Cleans up nicely and sits on the coffee table.

balls up

I thought this was a clever idea. I am planning on teaching sudoku to some young people.

Lovely — A Few Errors

This game is so aesthetically pleasing, challenging, and relaxing. There are a couple of errors/misprints scattered throughout the guide, such as my puzzle 24 and 25 being the same.

Also some of the colors are a little too close in hue, specifically the blue/green and red/orange combos.

Overall, though, this is a lovely game and a great gift to give or receive.

Almost Perfect

I'll be honest, I bought this game because it had "balls" in the name. I'm planning to put it in out at work so people can play with a few balls when they need a little break. I love the idea and think it's well executed, but would suggest a few small changes. The easiest improvement would be to include a second foam piece with holes that had the grid printed on it, if possible. I'm going to use a marker and draw it on the existing foam. I don't like how easily the balls move around (?!) on the current grid. The other suggestion may be more difficult, but it would be so much better if the balls had a flat side. Not a lot, just enough that if you drop one it won't roll under the furniture.
